Job DescriptionLocated in Salem, MA, Titan Advanced Energy Solutions (Titan) is building a world-class team to develop and commercialize game-changing ultrasound-based battery management diagnostic systems for lithium-ion batteries for consumer electronics, automotive, storage, and second-life markets. We provide fast and accurate estimates of the state of charge (SoC) and state of health (SoH), which creates significant benefits to the whole value chain, including increased daily usable charge capacity, longer battery life, and improved safety monitoring and control. Located in Salem, MA Titan Advanced Energy Solutions develops industry-leading, ultrasound-based battery diagnostics systems for applications in electrical vehicles, consumer electronics, stationary storage, and 2nd life markets for re-purposing of used EV batteries. Reporting to the Head of Programs, the Procurement Specialist will plan and execute the purchase of engineering materials, equipment, supplies and services to the availability and cost requirements of our product development groups. Responsibilities will also include inventory management, the coordination of pilot material collection for contract assembly, and support for Bills of Materials documentation. Day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Source suppliers and make materials purchases including common electronic and mechanical parts.
  • Purchase services including custom fabricated electro-mechanical parts and assemblies, and assembly of PCBS and systems.
  • Receive and validate purchases, set up and manage an inventory store, and implement materials identification and tracking systems in support ongoing project fulfillment needs.
  • Source, purchase and track deployment of equipment and equipment supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. You will be:

      • Competency Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
      • Experience and success with the sourcing and purchasing electronic and mechanical parts and systems.
      • Experience and success managing the materials management and availability issues common in engineering project groups and growing companies. Work Environment and Physical Demands:
        • While performing duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk, and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, or controls.
        • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
        • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.
        • Job will generally be performed in an office environment but may require travel to visit a local supplier production facility. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.
