Job Description:
At US Foods, a leading American foodservice distributor, we take
pride in our extensive fleet that ensures timely delivery of
high-quality products to 300,000 restaurants and foodservice
operators nationwide. We are currently seeking a dedicated Diesel
Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of trucks, ensuring
they meet operational standards for safety and performance. The
ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in diesel engine
mechanics and a passion for problem-solving in a dynamic,
fast-paced environment. Perform routine and preventative
maintenance on diesel engines and truck bodies. Diagnose,
troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical problems on
diesel vehicles. Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to
schedule maintenance and minimize operation disruptions. Keep
accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles. Ensure all
maintenance and repairs meet industry safety standards. Strong
knowledge of diesel engine components and functioning. Ability to
use diagnostic tools for vehicle maintenance and repair. Excellent
problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work
independently as well as part of a team. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid ASE (Automotive Service
Excellence) certification in Diesel Mechanics is highly
desired.
