Breakfast Line CookCrave is a modern caf-- concept serving Beverly Massachusetts since 2016. We are expanding into a multi-location caf-- with plenty of growth potential. This position will be at our brand-new Salem location.Crave specializes in delicious made to order breakfast sandwiches, cupcakes, croissants, coffee, and more. At Crave food comes first. We are committed to quality, consistency, and presentation. Our goal is to offer impeccable food and amazing drinks that everyone can enjoy.We're looking for unabashed coffee and food lovers to join our crew at our cafes. The ideal grill cook is someone who is passionate about food and creating incredible guest experiences grounded in respect, empathy, and recognition. Don't have prior grill cook, food or service experience? Don't sweat it; though that helps, it's not all we're looking for. We're more interested in who you are and what you care about. The whole "what" and "how" thing comes later, and with plenty of practice.You willBring Crave sandwich recipes to life every day, following the recipes and methods prescribed to ensure our food is consistently deliciousManage high volume grill cooking and prep with a high attention to detail, maintaining an ongoing awareness of ingredients as our recipes change with the seasons and menu updatesPortion ingredients with incredible care and attention to detailSupport your teammates in keeping the kitchen running smoothly by communicating effectively, collaborating and pitching in wherever is neededEnsure your station and equipment are in tip-top shape, always cleaning as you goEnsure sanitation practices are upheld to protect our culinary creations and guestsAlways utilize FIFO (First In, First Out) and proper storage of food productsSupport your team in keeping the grill station running smoothly and beautifully - these tasks may vary but can include washing dishes, sweeping, dusting, mopping, cleaning and organizing cold top station, and taking out trashThrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environmentWork in a close physical space with your teammatesArrive on time and ready for your shift, and always work efficientlyMonitor inventory and collaborate with grill cook Lead to ensure accuracy and availability of suppliesYou areEnthusiastic about your work and the world of delicious sandwich creations, you can t wait to learn more and grow with usObsessed with the details and following directions in order to execute consistentlyReliable and consistent - your manager and teammates can always depend on you to be punctual, dedicated looking sharp in accordance with our dress code, and bringing your A gameDelightful to work with and have a sense of humor and infectious can-do attitude, you re serious about your work but don t take yourself too seriouslyYou haveA thorough understanding of how to safely, responsibly use and clean equipmentA deep love for food, exceptional customer experiencesThe ability to read and speak English proficientlyA flexible schedule and are available to work weekendsBasic math and writing skillsOur grill cooking position is a dynamic one! Below we ve mapped out the physical demands that are essential to the role:The ability to stand, walk, sit for long periods of time (at least 8 hours per day and 5 days per week)The ability to operate a hot griddleThe ability to use a knife quickly and accuratelyThe use of hands to handle or feel and the ability to reach with hands and armThe ability to stoop, kneel, or crouchThe ability to squat, bend, twist and reach for items below waist level or above shouldersThe ability to lift, push/pull, carry and/or move up to 50 poundsThe ability to climb ladders, stairs, ramps and uneven floor and/or surfaces as neededThe ability to have close visual acuity to perform repetitive visual checking, counting, spotting small defects, determine accuracy of numbers and packageAbility to smell and taste.
