Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry Float Pool position requiring MA RN license and strong cardiac monitoring skills. Responsibilities Work in the float pool and provide coverage across 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units within the hospital Night shift schedule: 19:00 to 07:30, 36 hours per week, every other weekend required Patient ratios up to 5:1 during nights, with a mix of ED border patients, medication roles in the acute mental health unit, and non-vented ICU transfer-ready patients Uses telemetry monitoring and performs cardiac drips and tele strip interpretation EMR system is Epic, and Epic experience is preferred Responsible for providing direct patient care including telemetry, cardiac drips, and strip interpretation Must adhere to hospital-wide policies including coverage for flu vaccinations with no exemptions Local candidates must live at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to qualify for standard rates Scrub dress code required as per hospital guidelines Parking may not be validated and may incur daily costs First time travelers are welcome to apply Requirements Active, unencumbered MA RN license required—no pending or conditional licenses accepted Current BLS and ACLS certification from AHA required Two years of acute care hospital experience preferred Proficient in telemetry monitoring, cardiac drips, TR Band, and tele strip interpretation Must be willing to float to up to 8 different Med/Surg Tele units Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627194.
