qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Salem, Massachusetts, 01970! Pay
Information $2,719 per week About The Position Job Title: RN Labor
& Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Profession: RN Specialty: Labor &
Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating
shifts, primarily days with some evenings and nights as needed
Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years in Labor &
Delivery and Postpartum License: Current RN License in
Massachusetts Certifications: BLS, NRP, EFM (every 2 years for
L&D); ACLS preferred Must-Have: Labor & Delivery experience
Postpartum care experience Ability to circulate and provide newborn
care Description: This position is for an RN in the Labor &
Delivery/Postpartum unit. The unit is a 25-bed facility
encompassing Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care. There
are 2 operating rooms and 2 recovery rooms available. The
clinician-to-patient ratio is 1:2-3 for evaluations, and 1:1 for
active labor with mag drip or epidural. In postpartum, the ratio is
1:3-4. The unit contains 5 Labor & Delivery rooms, 12 Postpartum
rooms, 2 operating rooms, 2 recovery rooms, and 2 antepartum units
with 4 beds. The average daily census is 15-25 mothers, babies, and
labors. The electronic medical record system in use is EPIC.
Floating to other units is not required. Rotating shifts are
necessary due to union agreements. Current certifications required
include BLS, NRP, and EFM, with ACLS preferred. Experience with
