Job Summary
The Wheeler Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital studies
human diseases caused by expanded microsatellite repeats, focusing
on Huntington's disease (HD). We seek a motivated candidate to
support ongoing projects involving molecular biology, work with
mice, histology, and mammalian cell culture. The ideal candidate is
driven, team-oriented, organized, and possesses strong
interpersonal and computational skills. Experience in molecular
biology or with mice is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare solutions and perform basic procedures (pipetting, cell
and tissue culture)
- Maintain laboratory notebooks
- Apply scientific techniques and analyze results
- Set up and perform routine experiments
- Prepare reagents, chemicals, and maintain equipment
- Conduct literature searches
- Assist with publications or presentations
- Maintain and order supplies
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Experience: Recent graduates or individuals with some lab experience are eligible.
Skills/Abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Good communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of clinical research protocols
- Multitasking ability
