Job Description:

Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead, will be responsible for contributing to the marketing and sale of MathWorks sophisticated robotics and autonomous systems engineering products; designing and developing sophisticated software product models and simulations to demonstrate MathWorks robotics and autonomous systems engineering product capabilities; developing technical engineering demonstrations of MathWorks robotics and autonomous systems products to support the companys marketing activities; building data analytics integration models and analytics systems to perform customer experience analysis and analyze usage data to support data-driven marketing decisions; helping the development team to create product strategy and roadmaps for robotics and autonomous systems engineering by providing detailed analysis on the market competition, including wins and losses; performing revenue and growth analysis to help in decision making on the products lifecycle; gathering customer software requirements to inform development and customization of MathWorks robotics and autonomous systems products; working with MathWorks customers to understand initial sets of requirements; evaluating and creating proof-of-concepts; refining, communicating, and proposing a viable all-encompassing real-time simulation and testing solution for a given customer project; understanding customers engineering language, absorbing highly technical material and concepts, and clearly communicating verbally and in writing the solutions created and proposed with MathWorks products; supporting the technical aspect of the marketing process; working with prospective customers to understand their workflow and provide recommendations on how solutions from MathWorks can improve the results of customer product development processes; delivering product evaluations for prospective customers to prove the value of MathWorks products within the constructs of a feasibility project; and preparing and delivering technical presentations and demonstrations at both small customer meetings and to larger audiences at public and private events. Requires frequent travel and on short notice.

Education and Experience:

Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering and one (1) year of experience in job offered or one (1) year of experience in product marketing or development of robotics systems or autonomous navigation.

Special Requirements:

Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented programming in MATLAB and Simulink for robotics applications, including prototyping and developing localization, navigation and mapping algorithms for autonomous systems using C/C++ and MATLAB within a multiplatform environment -- Windows, Linux, and Mac.

Demonstrated expertise designing and developing mechatronic systems -- end effectors for robotic manipulation -- using physical modeling with MATLAB or SOLIDWORKS.

Demonstrated expertise designing and implementing motion planning and trajectory optimization algorithms for robotic and automated vehicle systems.

Demonstrated expertise developing and presenting technical engineering presentations, including course curriculum or research materials; and developing and publishing technical engineering content.
