Job Description STARTING RATE OF $50/HR AND UP! /n/n /n/n
Summary /n/n /n/n Under the direction of the Radiologist and the
MRI Supervisor, performs MRI procedures in accordance with
department protocol at a technical level, not requiring constant
supervision of technical detail. Able to perform a variety of
technical procedures including but not limited to extremity
imaging, MR Angiography, and Body imaging. Requires independent
judgment, with ingenuity and initiative, to apply theoretical MRI
knowledge into practice to provide the best possible imaging for
the diagnosis. Responsible for administering IV and oral contrast.
Responsible for maintaining ARRT certification, BLS certification
and NH Imaging License. /n/n /n/n Essential Duties and
Responsibilities /n/n /n/t - Supports and promotes the mission and
values of Covenant Health Ministry. /n/t - Acquires scans according
to radiologist and department protocol. /n/t - Informs patients of
exam and provides instruction to assure patient cooperation. /n/t -
Assists radiologist during Interventional Procedures. /n/t -
Coordinates daily workload by scheduling inpatients and
prioritizing emergency department patients with consideration of
the outpatient schedule. /n/t - Complete MRI Screening Form per
department protocol. /n/t - Screens persons to ensure there are no
contraindicated devices, implants, or other ferromagnetic materials
on or implanted in anyone entering the scan room. /n/t - Uses
proper ear protection for anyone inside of the scan room while
scanning. /n/t - Completes documentation in Epic EMR. /n/t -
Reviews exams in PACS for completeness prior to submitting to the
radiologist. /n/t - Responsible for the safety of all patients.
/n/t - Flexible to assist with the coverage of the department
beyond normal scheduled hours. /n/t - Arrives on time for all
assigned shifts. Including holidays and weekends. /n/t - Arrives
ready to work and works until end of shift. /n/t - Completes
mandatory learning, competencies and CEU’s as required. /n/t -
Follows dress code policy. /n/t - Maintains HIPAA compliance. /n/t
- Cleaning, stocking of supplies, and laundry to maintain a
professional workspace. /n/t - Other duties as consistent with this
role. /n /n/n /n/n Job Requirements /n/n /n/n Job Knowledge and
Skills /n/n /n/t - Knowledge of MRI software, Siemens preferred.
/n/t - Knowledge of PACS software, McKesson Change Healthcare
preferred. /n/t - Knowledge of Electronic Medical Record, Epic
preferred. /n/t - Patient preparation, positioning, and scan
acquisition according to protocol. /n/t - Identifies anatomy,
pathology, and contrast enhancement on cross-sectional imaging.
/n/t - Obtains symptom and relevant patient history to ensure
medical necessity. /n/t - Routinely monitors and educates for MRI
SAFETY. /n/t - Understands daily QA and warm-up procedure of MRI
equipment. /n/t - Able to troubleshoot problems with MRI equipment
and contact service as needed. /n /n/n /n/n Education and
Experience /n/n /n/t - Current ARRT certification, advanced ARRT
registry in MRI required /n/t - NH Imaging License required. /n/t -
BLS Certification required. /n/t - MRI experience required. /n/t -
Degree or certificate from an accredited radiologic technology
program preferred /n /n/n /n/n An equivalent combination of
education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of
responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above
education and experience requirements. /n/n /n/n Working
Conditions/Physical Demands /n/n Must possess the physical and
mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with this
position that involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking,
bending, stooping, and reaching. Lifting/carrying frequently up to
35 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Some stress related to
